Classical Education meets University-Model®

Traditional classical education puts an emphasis on cultivating wisdom and virtue. At Cathedral Oak Academy, we partner with parents in this venture, utilizing the University-Model's blended school-and-home model.

At school, we aim to develop strong academic skills, challenging students to think critically, work diligently, and articulate with excellence.

At home, parents work side-by-side with their children, deepening the impact of the information presented in the classroom by modeling a good work ethic, following up on important discussions, and praying with the children as they face difficulties or challenges.

Who We Are

We are a group of educators dedicated to equipping Christian families with the tools they need to guide their children academically and spiritually. Our heart is to see a generation of strong, capable, confident Christian men and women who are eager to "take up the cross" and follow Christ.

Families who choose Cathedral Oak Academy should be seeking:

  • A challenging academic program

  • A chance to participate in the educational process

  • A place where virtuous character is both cultivated and expected

  • Complete one Student Application per student seeking enrollment.

*Application Fee: $150 first child; $25 each additional child.

*The grade level cutoff is August 1 of the fall semester.

*We will begin accepting applications on November 1, 2023 for the 2024-2025 school year.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS: All students attending a private school in North Carolina must provide an official copy immunization records or submit a medical or religious exemption.

  • Once the application has been submitted and fees are received, your application will be placed in the applicant pool. We will request all references and educational records at this time and the admissions team will review each application submitted. Once re-enrollment is completed for current students and sibling applicants, we will begin reach out to new families who have applied with next steps.

  • At Cathedral Oak Academy, we want to put students in a position to be successful. An academic screening and assessment will be scheduled for each student individually in order to ensure that a student will be successful if placed. The Admissions Team will review the screening results and contact you with next steps.

  • If the academic assessment and screening results meets school criteria for the student’s grade level, you will be contacted to schedule a family interview. Both parents and the student are required to attend the interview. Younger siblings may attend if needed. This is a time for you to ask questions and for our team to further evaluate if Cathedral Oak Academy will be a good educational fit for your student and family.

  • After the interview, our Admissions Team will provide you with an acceptance decision. If your student is accepted, parents will be invited to sign an Enrollment Contract and pay a non-refundable enrollment fee of $250 per enrolling student, with a $500 family maximum. The designated co-teacher is required to attend a Parent Training that will be held prior to the first day of the school year.
